Meet Our Therapists

Cassandra Chatman, MA, AMFT

Hello, I’m Cassandra and I'm an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, with a passion for helping people feel more connected, confident, and supported in their lives and relationships. Whether you’re navigating stress, family conflict, relationship challenges, or past trauma, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, compassion, and practical support. I bring experience from crisis stabilization and community mental health, and work with children, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and a recovery-oriented lens, which means I recognize your inner strength, honor your story, and support you at a pace that feels safe and manageable. From our very first session, my goal is to help you feel at ease. I create a space that’s calm, non-judgmental, and centered on your needs, like sitting down with someone who genuinely cares and is ready to listen without pressure or pretense. I understand that opening up can feel vulnerable, and I meet that with deep respect, patience, and kindness. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I offer real tools, coping strategies, and resources that fit your unique goals and challenges. Whether we’re exploring emotions, building communication skills, or working through tough patterns, I’m here to empower you to move forward with clarity and confidence. I often draw from approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strength-based practices to help you build resilience and reconnect with your personal strengths and values. More than anything, I believe that healing happens in relationships when we feel safe, understood, and respected for who we are. I'm here to support you in creating meaningful, lasting change on your terms, and in your own time.

Christina Gonzales, MA, ACSW

Hello, I'm Christina Gonzales, a passionate Associate Clinical Social Worker committed to helping children, individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, whether dealing with everyday stressors or major transitions. With extensive experience working with military veterans and families, I understand the unique complexities that come with those experiences. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and find joy, and my role is to guide you in creating a personalized plan to build a balanced, confident, and fulfilling life. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), focusing on mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills help manage emotions, improve communication, and navigate life’s challenges in healthier ways. While change can be difficult, I provide practical strategies to make life more manageable, whether you’re facing personal struggles or family challenges. In our work together, you’ll find a warm, supportive space where you feel heard and respected. I work with children as well as adults, and I meet you where you are, helping you understand your emotions, strengthen relationships, and face challenges with confidence and resilience. Together, we can create lasting change and help you thrive. For your convenience, I offer flexible evening and weekend hours.

In our sessions, you'll find a warm atmosphere that encourages open conversation. I strive to create a calm and supportive environment where you feel comfortable. My casual style includes humor to ease any initial discomfort. I also work with Simon, my professionally trained service dog, who provides comfort and may nap in the corner during our sessions.

Simon, Service Dog

Meet Our Therapist: Simon the Labradoodle Simon is not your typical therapist, but he certainly brings a special kind of care to our practice. As Kelly's loyal service dog, Simon is always excited to meet new clients and greets everyone with boundless enthusiasm. After his warm welcome, he often calms down, curling up on the floor, content to just be present and offer comfort. Simon is in tune with your emotions and has an amazing ability to match your mood. Whether you need a gentle chin on your lap or a comforting paw on your foot, he's always ready to provide the support you need. He loves to offer hugs and pets, and his calming presence can help create a peaceful environment during your sessions. When he’s not giving emotional support, Simon is perfectly content to take a nap on the floor, simply enjoying being in the room, proving that sometimes, just being there is all that's needed. Simon may not speak, but his quiet companionship and unconditional love make him a valued member of our team!
